Appellant Rodolfo Nino Aleman was charged with misdemeanor prostitution pursuant to Texas Penal Code section 43.02(b). See Act of May 21, 2013, 83rd Leg., R.S., ch. 1252, § 15.2013, 3167, 3170 (West) (codified at Tex. Penal Code Ann. 43.02(b)). After' returning a verdict of guilty, the jury assessed punishment at 180 days confinement in the Bexar County Jail, suspended and probated for a period of one year, and a fine in the amount of $1,500.00.
