These cases present identical issues. Pursuant to Practice Book § 606, the parties have stipulated that the cases be combined for purposes of this appeal and that a separate judgment be rendered in each ease.

The eases arise out of a collision in which the plaintiffs were injured while passengers in a motor vehicle operated by Bruce Harrison. The Harrison vehicle collided with a vehicle operated by the defendant William Richter and owned by the defendant G-ertrude Richter.
