In the first count of the complaint plaintiff seeks to recover the sum of sixteen thousand dollars upon a written contract entered into by plaintiff and defendant, January 20, 1905, for the construction and installation of an elevator plant and service by plaintiff for the Monadnock Building, San Francisco. The second count was for necessary repairs to the elevators, elevator equipments, and elevator hatchways in said building of the alleged value of $4,604.33.
