OPINION

NYE, Chief Justice.

This is a plea of privilege in which ten separate law suits have been consolidated for the purposes of this appeal. Plaintiffs alleged in each case that defendant Jim Walter Homes, Inc. violated both the Texas Consumer Credit Code, Tex.Rev.Civ.Stat. Ann. art. 5069-2.01 et seq. (Vernon 1971) and the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices-Consumer Protection Act (hereinafter DTP A), Tex.Bus. & Com.Code Ann. § 17.41 et seq. (Vernon Supp.1980). The violations in each case concerned the misrepresentation of the quality of workmanship and materials provided.
