We are asked to review the pretrial detention order issued by the district court against defendant Patrick Michael Jackson, who was charged with multiple violations of the Controlled Substances Act, 21 U.S.C. §§ 801 et seq. In this Circuit, we must uphold the district court’s order “if it is supported by the proceedings below,” 1 a narrow standard of review that we recently equated to the abuse of discretion standard.
