On April 12, 1893, Alexander G. Holliday was conducting a store on the southeast corner of the intersection of Taylor avenue and Wyoming street, in the village of Culbertson. Holliday’s residence was a block west and a half block south of his store. At that date there existed an excavation in the lot on the southwest corner of the intersection of said thoroughfares, and immediately west of Holliday’s store.
