EVERETT, Chief Judge:

The appellant was tried by special court-martial with members and, notwithstanding his pleas, was found guilty of two specifications of using a false writing to obtain a family separation allowance, in violation of Article 132, Uniform Code of Military Justice, 10 U.S.C. § 932. He was sentenced to a bad-conduct discharge, confinement at hard labor for 6 months, forfeiture of $279 pay per month for 6 months, and reduction to the lowest enlisted grade.
