Opinion of the Court EVERETT, Chief Judge:

Contrary to his pleas, appellant was found guilty of twelve specifications of violating service regulations, in contravention of Article 92, Uniform Code of Military Justice, 10 U.S.C. § 892. In particular, he was convicted of the possession, transfer, and sale of drugs on four separate occasions. See Article 1151, U.S. Navy Regulations, 1973. The members of his general court-martial sentenced him on October 4, 1979, to a dishonorable discharge, confinement at hard labor for 9 months, total forfeitures, and reduction to the lowest en*114listed pay grade.…
