On August 16, 1937, the plaintiff, W. T. Grider, contracted to sell, and the defendant, Hazel M. Turnbow, to purchase, certain designated lots and a dwelling house thereon in the city of La Grande. The price stipulated to be paid therefor was $2,300, of which Mrs. Turnbow paid $300 in cash upon the execution of the contract. The balance was to be paid in monthly installments until $1,500 had been paid on the principal, at which time the balance of the purchase price, to-wit, $800, would -be payable.
