In this foreclosure action, the plaintiff, First National Bank of Chicago, appeals from the judgment rendered by the trial court approving a foreclosure by sale of the property owned by the defendants Robert L. Maynard, Jr., and Barbara J. Gladue.1 On appeal, the plaintiff claims that the court improperly exercised its discretion when it (1) approved the sale of the property to an unregistered bidder, (2) approved a sale where the bid was only 50 percent of the property’s value and (3) condoned the failure of the committee to reopen the auction.
