This case reads like a manual on how not to litigate a contractual dispute in federal court authored by Baldwin Filters, Incorporated. Early in this controversy, Baldwin won a significant battle when the district court granted its motion for judgment on the pleadings. Baldwin eventually lost the war, however, when the district court issued its ruling on its motion that favored Analytical Engineering, Incorporated (AEI).
