Defendant seeks by certiorari review and reversal of an order by the circuit court of Clinton county granting a peremptory mandamus requiring “the said Charles S. Clark to deliver up and turn over to said, Lewis J. Carpenter, petitioner, all the books, papers, records and other property in his possession, or under his control, appertaining or relating to the office of secretary of Clinton County Agricultural Society.” In his petition to the circuit court for a mandamus, Carpenter showed that on October 8, 1920, the Clinton County Agricultural Society, a corporation organized under appropriate…
