Plaintiff, a police officer, brought this action for personal injuries allegedly sustained in this state when the cylinder of a revolver, purchased by Mm in this state from defendant Pitt and manufactured by Smith and Wesson, Inc., a Massachusetts corporation, “exploded and blew apart” during target practice, causing the permanent loss of vision of plaintiff's right eye. Summons and complaint were served on Walter K. Lookabaugh as the alleged agent, sales manager and manufacturer’s representative for Smith and Wesson.
