The defendant was tried before a jury on a two count information charging him with robbery in the first degree by acting with others in violation of G-eneral Statutes § 53a-134 (a) (4), 1 and attempted robbery in the first degree in violation of General Statutes §§ 53a-49 2 and 53a-134 (a) (4). The information did not specify what property the defendant took or attempted to take or retain by force. On the first count the jury found the defendant not guilty of robbery in the first degree but guilty of larceny in the fourth degree. They found him guilty of attempted robbery in the first degree…
