Sara Morguson ("Morguson"), as executrix of the estate of Douglas W. Morguson, deceased, filed a wrongful-death action against Druid City Hospital ("DCH"), Phillip Smith ("Smith"), 3M Company f/k/a Minnesota Mining Manufacturing Company ("3M"), and Baxter Healthcare Corporation n/k/a Edward Lifesciences Corporation ("Baxter") arising out of the death of her husband, Douglas Morguson (hereinafter sometimes referred to as the "decedent").
