MEMORANDUM OPINION AND ORDER

JOYCE HENS GREEN, District Judge.

Presently pending is the defendants’ motion for summary judgment. For the reasons stated below, the motion will be granted.

Background

The following material facts are not genuinely disputed. In July 1987, Plaintiff Jack Amariglio was hired by AMTRAK to work as a train attendant aboard coaches and sleeping cars. Amariglio’s general responsibilities involved providing assistance to passengers to ensure they had a safe and comfortable trip aboard AMTRAK trains.
