On July 3, 1924, the state auditor, as chief inspector, under chapter 325 of the Laws of 1924, entitled “An act to provide for the inspection, supervision, and auditing of public offices, and to establish a uniform system of public accounting and auditing,” addressed a letter to the board of supervisors of Grenada county, making a demand for the payment of two hundred dollars authorized by section 2 of said chapter. The board of supervisors refused to issue the warrant so requested, and on the 26th day of November, 1924, the attorney-general filed a petition for mandamus to compel the board…
