This is one of a large number of cases involving claims for compensation on behalf of autistic children whose condition is alleged to have been caused by childhood vaccinations. In this case, Rolf and Angela Hazlehurst filed a claim for their son, Yates Hazlehurst, seeking compensation under the National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act of 1986 (“the Vaccine Act”), 42 U.S.C. §§ 300aa-l to -34.
