Plaintiff-appellant Scott Greenwood, an attorney, filed a lawsuit in which he alleges that he was fired from the law firm of defendant-appellee, Taft, Stettinius & Hollister (“the Taft Firm”), because he is a gay male and because of his pro bono work in favor of retaining the Human Rights Ordinance of the city of Cincinnati. Greenwood alleges that his discharge for these reasons was a violation of public policy.
