The defendant, William Petaway, appeals from the judgment of conviction rendered when he was sentenced by the trial court after pleading guilty to robbery in the first degree under North Carolina v. Alford, 400 U.S. 25, 91 S. Ct. 160, 27 L. Ed. 2d 162 (1970). The plea was made pursuant to a Garvin agreement.
