Appellant was charged with assault with intent to murder while armed, D.C.Code §§ 22-503, -3202 (1989 Repl. & 1990 Supp.), and carrying a pistol without a license, id. § 22-3204. The jury did not reach a unanimous verdict on the charge of assault with intent to murder while armed, but convicted appellant of the lesser-included offense of assault with a dangerous weapon and carrying a pistol without a license.
