TERRY, Associate Judge:
Appellants Chambers and Hubbard were jointly charged with distribution of cocaine and with possession of cocaine with intent to distribute it, both in violation of D.C. Code § 33-541(a)(l) (1988). Hubbard was convicted of distribution, but was acquitted of both possession with intent to distribute and the lesser included offense of simple possession, on which the jury was also instructed. Chambers was convicted of both offenses as charged.
