ALBERTSON, Judge:

In accordance with his plea, the appellant was convicted by a general court-martial composed of officer and enlisted members of an unauthorized absence of approximately 2 months duration, in violation of Article 86 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ), 10 U.S.C. § 886. Contrary to his pleas, the appellant was also convicted of eight specifications of making and uttering bad checks of a total value of $3150.00, in violation of Article 123a, UCMJ, 10 U.S.C. § 923a.
