TJOFLAT, Circuit Judge:
The appellant, Dennis Ullrich, was convicted by a jury in the district court of transporting a stolen motor vehicle in interstate commerce, in violation of the Dyer Act, 18 U.S.C. § 2312 (1976). Ullrich raises multiple grounds that he contends require his conviction to be overturned. First, he argues that the evidence utilized by the government to convict him was obtained as a result of a search incident to his allegedly unlawful arrest by a Florida police officer.
