The plaintiff in error was indicted, tried, and convicted of the offense of keeping a house of ill fame in the county of Beadle, and sentenced to imprisonment in the state’s prison for a term of years. The case is now before us on a writ of error to the circuit court of that county. Numerous errors are assigned and discussed by counsel for the plaintiff in error, and they will be taken up and disposed of in their order.
