1Opinion of the Court

¶1 C. Johnson, J.

This case requires us to determine whether a superior court is divested of jurisdiction to hear a land use petition if a party fails to note an initial hearing within seven days of serving the petition as required under RCW 36.70C.080(1). This case was dismissed by the trial court because the court found it lacked jurisdiction to hear the land use petition. We reverse and remand.
