Arraigned and tried before a general court-martial convened at Naval Air Station, Pensacola, Florida, the accused was found guilty of absence without leave, sodomy, committing a lewd and lascivious act upon the body of a minor, and false swearing, in violation of Uniform Code of Military Justice, Articles 86, 125, and 134, 10 USC §§ 886, 925, 934, respectively. He was sentenced to bad-conduct discharge, forfeiture of all pay and allowances, confinement at hard labor for one year, and reduction to the lowest grade. The convening authority set aside that…
