MEMORANDUM OPINION
PAYNE, District Judge.
The Secretary of Labor, Alexis M. Herman, (the “Secretary”) filed this action against the defendant union (the “Union”) challenging the Union’s conduct of an election for the office of President. On the basis of a complaint filed by the losing candidate, the Secretary has alleged that the Union violated several sections of the Labor Management Reporting and Disclosure Act (“LMRDA”) of 1959, as amended, 29 U.S.C. §§ 401-483. 1 The Secretary asks that the election for the office of President be declared null and vmd and that the Union be required to…
