— This is an appeal from a judgment entered in favor of the respondent, McEachran, against the appellant, Bothschild & Company, Incorporated, in an action brought to recover for personal injuries.
To an understanding of the controversy, a general outline of the facts is necessary. The steamship Italy Maru is employed by its charterers in the lumber carrying trade between the ports of the state of Washington and the ports of Japan and China.
