General Telephone Company of the Southwest (company) petitioned the Arkansas Public Service Commission (commission) for a rate increase which would have produced $6,410,615 in new revenue. The commission approved an increase of $809,001. Upon rehearing, the amount was reduced to $159,165. In General Telephone Company v. Arkansas Public Service Commission, 23 Ark.
