RICH, Judge.

This appeal is from the decision of the Patent Office Board of Appeals affirming the examiner’s rejection of claims 12-14, 16-19, 31-33, 36, and 38-40 in application Ser. No. 517,943, filed June 24, 1955, entitled “Polyethylene.” Claims 37 and 41 have been allowed.

Appellants’ invention relates to “new cross linked polymers of increased strength and rigidity,” and a process for producing such polymers. The process consists essentially of subjecting normally solid polyethylene “in the presence of other non-polar or only slightly polar polymers or ethylenically unsaturated monomers”…
