Plaintiff Animal Legal Defense Fund (“ALDF”) filed suit against Defendant meat producer Hormel Foods Corporation (“Hormel”) in the Superior Court of the District of Columbia, alleging that Defendant violated the District of Columbia Consumer Protection Procedures Act (“DCCPPA”) by misleading consumers with its “Natural Choice” advertising campaign.
