This is an action at law on a demand promissory note for $210,000. dated August 12, 1930. Defendants, Peter L. Evans, Harold C. Strotz, John A. O’Keefe, Fred W. Georgs, Bobert A. Schiewe, Byron C. Thorpe, Nelson K. Beese, John T. Cunningham, Henry A. Sellen and Henry D. Cheney, together with Otto C. Braese, since deceased, were the makers of the note. The payee was The National Bank of The Bepublic of Chicago. The note was assigned by the latter to Chicago Trust Company, a banking corporation of Illinois, and assigned by that company to Central Republic Bank and Trust Company, a banking…
