Defendant appeals from a judgment imposing punitive sanctions against him for contempt based on his violation of a Family Abuse Prevention Act (FAPA) restraining order. ORS 33.065; ORS 107.700 - 107.732. He asserts that the trial court erred in taking judicial notice of a return of service in the court file in which a sheriffs deputy certified that he had served defendant with the underlying restraining order.
