I. Introduction

Appellant, Samuel T. Jackson, appeals from the trial court’s order granting summary judgment in favor of appellee, the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS), and Thomas A. Davis, director of DPS. On appeal, Jackson contends that the trial court erred in granting DPS’s motion for summary judgment because: (1) the requested records were public information and DPS failed to timely request an attorney general opinion; (2) the exceptions to disclosure raised by DPS were inapplicable to information contained in the records; and (3) the ground upon…
