MARRERO, District Judge.

Richard Adams (“Adams”), the pro se petitioner in this matter, is a prisoner at the New York State Green Haven Correctional Facility (“Green Haven”). Adams commenced this action on May 22, 2003 against Charles Greiner, Superintendent of Green Haven (“Greiner” or the “State”) seeking a writ of habeas corpus pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 2254, alleging violations of various rights afforded him under the United States Constitution in connection with his conviction for manslaughter.
