For some time prior to October 7, 1944, plaintiff’s father, Joseph V. Flynn, was employed by defendant Western Board & Paper Company. On the date referred to he suffered an accidental injury in the course of his employment, such injury resulting in death on the same day. At the time of the father’s death plaintiff was 16 years of age, and for some years had been living with his father in a room or apartment in the city of Kalamazoo.
