Plaintiff is a former employee of defendant State of Oregon, Department of General Services. He asserts various claims against the state and against defendant Jerry Korson, a personnel manager with the state, arising from the termination of plaintiffs employment. All of those claims incorporated alternative allegations, (1) that Korson acted within the course and scope of his employment and (2) that Korson acted independently and without authorization, outside the course and scope of his employment.
