Defendant Calvin Lamont Everett (a/k/a Lamont Brown), was found guilty by a district court jury of first degree murder in the execution-style shooting death of a taxicab driver during a robbery and was sentenced by the trial court to life in prison. On direct appeal to this court pursuant to Minn.R.Crim.P. 29.02, subd. 1, defendant challenges the fairness of his trial.
