This was an action for slander, in which the plaintiff obtained from the clerk a warrant for attachment, under which the sheriff seized forty-nine head of horses as the property of the defendant, and at the same time obtained an order for arrest and bail, under which the defendant was arrested by the sheriff of Rdgefield County.
