This action was brought by respondent to recover upon a promissory note, signed by appellants L. E. Bounds and I. J. Bounds on February 1, 1930, maturing February 1, 1931, in the sum of two thousand dollars and interest.

The complaint first alleged that, at all times there-inafter mentioned, L. E. Bounds and Martha Bounds were husband and wife, and I. J. Bounds and Dorothy Bounds were husband and wife; and that the indebtedness sued upon was a community obligation of both parties therein named.
