AREND, Justice.

This is a personal injury case growing out of an automobile accident in the City of Anchorage on April 30, 1962. The plaintiff, Zerbinos, alleged in his complaint that as he was driving his car south on Gambell Street and came to a careful stop in a line of automobiles, he was struck from the rear by another car owned and negligently driven by the defendant, Kathleen Lewis, to his injury and damage in the sum of $25,000.
