PERRY, Judge:

The appellant was tried by a military judge sitting alone as a general court-martial upon specifications of a charge laid under Article 92 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice, 10 U.S.C. § 892, alleging wrongful possession, sale, and transfer of three tablets of phencyclidine, a controlled substance. He was found not guilty of the sale, but guilty of the other two offenses. Thereupon, he was sentenced to a bad-conduct discharge, confinement at hard labor for one year, forfeiture of all pay and allowances, and reduction to the lowest enlisted grade. The…
