MEMORANDUM AND ORDER

MacLAUGHLIN, District Judge.

This matter is before the Court on defendant’s motion pursuant to Federal Rules of Civil Procedure 59(a) and 60(b) to reconsider the Court’s Memorandum and Order of December 10, 1984.

FACTS

Plaintiffs in the instant action are recipients of Aid to Families with Dependent Children (AFDC) benefits who live in Minnesota. Plaintiffs brought this action on behalf of themselves and others similarly situated challenging the defendant Minnesota Department of Public Welfare’s (DPW) policy regarding the receipt of lump sum income by AFDC recipients.…
