ROBERT E. Quinn, Chief Judge:

The accused, upon his plea of guilty was convicted by special court-martial of absence without leave in violation of Article 86, Uniform Code of Military Justice, 50 USC § 680, and sentenced to a bad-conduct discharge, confinement at hard labor for three months and a partial forfeiture of pay for a like period. The convening authority approved the sentence, suspending the execution of the bad-conduct discharge for six months, with a further provision for its remission upon the accused’s release from confinement.
