Thomas Naughton, a member of the San Francisco Police Department for twenty-nine years, died June 7, 1937. At the time of his death he held the rank of sergeant. He was survived by his wife, Hattie Naughton, to whom he had been married nearly thirty years. She filed application with the Retirement Board of San Francisco, City Employees' Retirement System, for a pension; and after hearing the evidence the board denied her application.
