SULLIVAN, Chief Judge:

Appellant was tried by a general court-martial composed of a military judge sitting alone at Ellsworth Air Force Base, South Dakota, on January 4 and 5, 1990. Contrary to his pleas, he was found guilty of separate specifications alleging possession of marijuana, cocaine, and methamphetamine, as well as use of marijuana and methamphetamine; and one specification alleging introduction of marijuana onto a military installation, in violation of Article 112a, Uniform Code of Military Justice, 10 USC § 912a.
