AREND, Justice.

This is a tort action in which the plaintiff was struck by the automobile of one of the defendants and seeks to recover damages for the injuries received.

On September 20, 1961, the plaintiff, Thomas J. Rexford, age forty-one years, was injured near Clear, Alaska. The entrance gate to the BMEWS 1 Site at Clear is located about a mile westward of the Nenana-Rex Road and is reached by an access road from the Nenana-Rex Road.
