This breach of contract lawsuit arises from a business deal gone haywire. The American Petroleum Institute (“API”) claims that TechnoMedia International, Inc. (“TechnoMedia”) — a Texas company that provides computer-based training courses for oil and gas industry workers— breached its contract to develop, market, and sell e-learning materials under the API trademark.
