This appeal arises from an application to the zoning board of appeals of Hartford for a variance to allow the relocation and expansion of an existing gasoline service station and facilities. The defendant applicant Humble Oil and Refining Company, hereinafter referred to as Humble, is the owner of property at the apex of the intersection of Fairfield and Maple Avenues on which property the station is presently located.
